Today’s episode comes to you from New London New Hampshire where we visit with Greg Berger of Spring Ledge Farm. He and his crew operate the farm on 60 acres of conserved land right on main street, so if you are feeling development pressure around you, here is an example of a farm who’s experienced that growth as well.
This episode was recorded at the end of March 2026, so spring production was just ramping up. We take a tour of several greenhouses to talk about cut flowers and tomatoes. Greg also discusses his systems and technology for automation and monitoring all these growing areas and varying conditions. We learn how they fill pots and start plants for the farm and bedding plant sales, and a little bit about some of the systems and tech in place working with a 20+ person team.
His first job was working at this farm, and that “gardening bug” as he says never let him leave.
